Axel Bidon-Chanal Badia
Axel Bidon-Chanal Badia is an Associate Professor in the Department of Nutrition, Food Sciences and Gastronomy of the University of Barcelona. Graduated in Chemistry at the University of Barcelona (2002), he coursed his PhD studies in Theoretical and Computational Chemistry at the Faculty of Pharmacy and Food Sciences. He obtained his PhD in 2008 having realized during his thesis research for 6 months at the pharmaceutical company Almirall SA (2006) and a research of three months (2007) in the group of Dr. Darío Estrín, in Buenos Aires (Argentina). In 2010 he began a postdoctoral stay at the Universiteé Lorraine (Nancy, France), which ended in 2012, moving to its present position at the Food Sciences Campus of the University of Barcelona. Co-author of more than 45 papers in peer-reviewed scientific journals, he is also co-director of two theses, two master projects and co-athour of a patent. His thesis was awarded the Extraordinary Doctoral Award from the Faculty of Pharmacy of the University of Barcelona.
